Michael Benhamou

Michael Benhamou is the Founder and Executive Director of OPEWI – Europe’s War Institute, a European defence think tank composed of practitioners. He was previously a Visiting Fellow at the Martens Centre, focusing on the Middle East and on European Defense, as a continuation of the work he had done at the French armed forces, NATO and the EU as a political advisor in field operations (Kosovo, Afghanistan, Libya, Gulf). Michael obtained Master degrees in History and International Relations from Sciences Po Paris and Sorbonne University.
