Katerina Jakimovska
Senior Project Officer
Katerina Jakimovska is a senior project officer at the Martens Centre and doctoral candidate at the University of Peloponnese, tackling EU Enlargement as a conflict resolution instrument through a comparative assessment of post–Yugoslav bilateral disputes. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in public policy from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. Before joining the Martens Centre, she completed the International Parliamentary Scholarship Programme in the German Bundestag. Her professional focus centers on EU Enlargement policy, mostly focused on the region of the Western Balkans (WB). She has authored several articles and opinion pieces, tackling the European integration of the countries of the Western Balkans, democratisation and regional cooperation between the countries in the region.
