Ulrich Speck

Ulrich Speck is a Visiting Scholar at Carnegie Europe in Brussels. Before this he was an Associate Fellow at FRIDE (Fundación para las Relaciones Internacionales y el Diálogo Exterior, a think tank in Madrid) and worked for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in Prague and Brussels. He holds a Ph.D. in history from the University of Frankfurt, where from 1992-5 he was a member of the Graduate College for the History of Law. His research focuses on EU foreign policy and Europe’s strategic role in a changing global environment.
