Teona Lavrelashvili

Teona Lavrelashvili holds a Master’s Degree from the College of Europe (Bruges Campus) in EU political and administrative sciences and another in Public Administration from Speyer University and Tbilisi State University (Joint Program).

Before joining the Martens Center she worked in the European Parliament (Delegations’ Service), after completing the Robert Schuman Fellowship in the EPP Group. She also worked at the International School of Protocol and Diplomacy, Brussels. She has been both a delegation member and an invited expert at the Council of Europe.

Back in Georgia, Teona Lavrelashvili is Guest Lecturer in the field of European political parties, EU institutions and political communication. She has been extensively involved in civil society activities, affording her 7 years of professional experience in project management at both national and international levels. Among other things, she served as President of European Youth Parliament and later founded the Georgian Youth Parliament. She is an alumna of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

Teona Lavrelashvili was awarded the Order of Honour of Georgia, the highest state award for democratic state-building.
