Rumiana Stoilova

Rumiana Stoilova is Professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She is former Director of the Institute for the Study of Societies and Knowledge at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (2010-2018). Prof. Stoilova is Chair of the Bulgarian Sociological Association (since 2018) and Board Member of the Bulgarian Center of Women in Technology. She is the Bulgarian team leader of the project “Social disparities and regional differences in school-to-work transitions in Bulgaria” (2012-2015), funded by the Swiss National Scientific Fond; and of the project “Negotiating early job-insecurity and labour market exclusion in Europe”, Horizon 2020 (2015-2018). She was a member of the consortium of the project “Encouraging Lifelong Learning for an Inclusive and Vibrant Europe”, funded by the European Commission Horizon 2020 Young-Society Call Young-3, (2016-2019).
