Paolo Brandi

Paolo holds a M.A degree in Law from the L.U.M. Jean Monnet University, where he completed his dissertation on the reform of bankruptcy regulation in Italy and Europe. During his university studies, he focused on EU law and International law on corporate matters. After graduation, Paolo studied Contract law and Civil Procedure in the UK at City University London. In March 2014, he entered the Schuman Traineeship for the Committee on Legal Affairs of the European Parliament, where he performed extensive research on EU legislative texts and assessed the legal basis of upcoming legislative proposals, such as the reform of the EU’s trademark and insolvency rules. During the same period, he co-authored the Committee’s stocktaking at the end of the 7th legislative term, writing the chapters about environmental liability and the transposition of Community law into national legislation. He has been appointed to the Italian Bar and worked for a distinguished law firm in southern Italy. Actively involved in civil society and local politics, Paolo collaborated in many political campaigns for Italian EPP parties, providing both policy and legal advice. Apart from speaking his native Italian, Paolo knows English, French and Spanish.
