Eka Tkeshelashvili
Eka Tkeshelashvili is a board member of the Chavchavadze Center and a Distinguished Visiting Fellow with the German Marshall Fund, where she contributes to the Transatlantic Democracy Working Group. She is also President and Co-Founder of the Georgian Institute for Strategic Studies, a non-partisan think tank focused on foreign policy, governance, and the rule of law. A seasoned leader in anti-corruption and democratic governance, Tkeshelashvili previously led two of the most prominent international anti-corruption programs in Ukraine: as Chief of Party for USAID’s Support to Anti-Corruption Champion Institutions (SACCI), where she helped design frameworks for transparent wartime reconstruction, and as Head of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI), where she advanced institutional reform and cross-sector coordination. Tkeshelashvili held multiple senior positions in the Government of Georgia during a period of transformative state-building. She served as Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and National Security Advisor to the President, playing a central role in shaping Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic trajectory and managing critical security and foreign policy challenges. She is also a board member of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, a senior member of the European Leadership Network, and a member of the Ukraine Working Group, contributing to policy analysis and strategy. Eka is a contributor to the CSIS Ukraine Reconstruction Commission and previously served on the U.S. Advisory Committee on Voluntary Foreign Aid.
