Burkard Schmitt
Burkard Schmitt has been Defence and Security Director at the Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries Association of Europe since November 2014. His previous experience includes serving as a defence expert at the European Commission and working as an assistant director and senior research fellow at the EU Institute for Security Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in History from the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and speaks German, English and French.
