Ana María Martín
CES Project Assistant
Ana works as project assistant with the communications team, and is responsible for media relations. With a background in journalism and international relations, Ana has experience in both the private and public sectors. Between 2002 and 2009 she worked as foreign affairs editor for different Spanish media (radio, newspaper and online news websites) and freelanced for various Latin American newspapers. In 2010 she undertook a traineeship at the press service of the European Council, where she assisted the cabinet of the President, Mr. Herman Van Rompuy, and the spokesperson of the Spanish Presidency of the Council in press relations. Prior to joining the CES, Ana worked as a trainee in the press department of the European People’s Party (EPP). She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations (Complutense University, Madrid), a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism (Carlos III University, Madrid). She was awarded an Erasmus scholarship to study at Nottingham Trent University (United Kingdom). A native Spanish speaker, Ana is fluent in English and French.
