Summer Academy 2021: The ‘new senior’: moving into a ‘new economic and digital world’?
The Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies together with the Political Academy of Austrian People´s Party is organising a new edition of the Summer´s Academy for seniors.
Now that the EU, more than ever before, acknowledges the need for a comprehensive strategy on demographic change, and the EU Commission´s Vice-President Dubravka Šuica has been designated responsible for the development of political actions regarding age and ageing and taking into account the differences between Member States and regions, the Summer Academy aims at presenting the most recent information about EU policies relating to the EU challenges for the future ( central subject ‘digitalisation’) and relating them to age and ageing; offering a broad interpretation framework indicating economic and social dimensions of those politics; facilitating implementation and questioning of those politics; and creating networks between citizens‘ associations as platforms for mutual learning.
