Debate Club Final 2023

The 2023 Debate Club, a flagship initiative by the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies and the Kós Károly Academy Foundation concluded its engaging series with a grand event from December 15th to 17th in Odorheiu Secuiesc, Romania. This event was the culmination of a series of local debates and preparatory sessions designed to foster academic debate skills among high school students.

The event was centered around the critical and timely theme of “Future Europe,” encompassing discussions on the post-COVID era, the Russo-Ukrainian War, economic crises, environmental issues, and more. The teams engaged in thought-provoking debates on varied topics, including EU’s authority, feminist movements, adoption policies for same-sex couples, and ethical dilemmas in scientific research.
