Annual Seminar II “Global Changes and New Security Architecture: The Position of Serbia and the region

The second part of the Annual Seminar took place 22-24 May in SIlver Lake, Serbia under the umbrella topic “Global Changes and New Security Architecture: The Position of Serbia and the region”. The project is a common initiative with the Hanns Seidel Stiftung in Belgrade in a cooperation with the Balkan Fund for Political Excellence.

Over the course of three days, participants had the opportunity to engage in lectures, panel discussions, and workshops addressing key issues on the role of China in Serbia and in Europe, the war in the Middle East, Europe’s role in the era of fragmentation as well as regional cooperation of civil society. Furthermore, Serbia’s dilemma between military weapons, defense industry and foreign policy priorities was discussed and the contemporary political and security framework of relations between Belgrade and
Pristina. 

The seminar gathered relevant experts, decision-makers, and representatives of international organisations, while also providing space for active participation and exchange among the attendees themselves.
