A Lost Generation? Challenges and Hopes of the European Youth

This event will be livestreamed here and on YouTube.

Europe stands at a crossroads, facing profound social, economic and geopolitical strain. Its ability to endure and to renew itself will depend in no small part on whether it can once again offer its younger generations a credible stake in the continent’s future. Yet, accumulated policy choices have shifted risk onto the young, weakened intergenerational balance and fuelled anxiety and disaffection with the political centre.

To discuss how to confront the core problems facing younger generations, the Martens Centre has invited the authors of the Autumn 2025 issue of the European View to present their papers and debate possible solutions.
