Sara Pini

Senior Research Officer

Sara Pini joined the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies as Senior Research Officer in June 2023. Besides her work as Assistant Editor-in-Chief of the European View, she helps the Chair of the Academic Council, Klaus Welle, preparing and organising the Council’s activities.

She had already worked at the Centre in 2011-2014 as Project Officer, before joining the EPP, where she was Deputy Head of Office of three EPP Presidents. She started her professional career in Paris, as Research Officer in the EU and international department at the Fondation pour l’Innovation Politique, before moving to Belgium as Head of the Brussels office of the Robert Schuman Foundation.

She studied International and Diplomatic Sciences at the University of Bologna, European Studies at Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, and completed a Master’s in Politics and Societies in Europe at Scienced Po-Paris. She is fluent in French, Italian, and English, has intermediate knowledge of Spanish, and basic knowledge of German and Dutch.
