Sandu-Daniel Kopp

Sandu-Daniel Kopp (MA, Heidelberg University, Ruperto Carola) is currently a researcher and doctoral candidate at the Berlin Centre for Caspian Region Studies. He has successfully carried out several scientific studies on renewable energies, for example, for the German Energy Agency (dena), the Renewables Academy Berlin (Renac) and organisations in the energy field. As a teaching assistant at the Berlin-based Environmental Policy Research Centre (FFU) of the Freie Universität Berlin, moreover, he has led seminars on the geopolitics and geo-economics of energy and has been advising Master’s students on research projects on environmental policy in Germany and energy politics in general. His fields of research are international gas markets, security and energy issues in the Caspian Region, the European Union’s foreign and energy policy and environmental policy research.
