Peter Egardt

Peter Egardt has been the Chairman of the Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation since 2017. He was the governor of the Province of Uppsala from 2010 to 2016. Before that, he was also President of the Association of Swedish Chambers of Commerce and Industry and of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (1995-2010). From 1991 to 1994, he served as State Secretary to the Prime Minister and Chef de Cabinet at the Swedish government. He was also State Secretary General and Chief of Staff to the Moderate Parliamentary Group in the Swedish Parliament (1981-1991). Prior to this, he had been Special Advisor to the Minister for Economy for the Swedish government from 1971 to 1981. He holds numerous honours, among which H.M. The King‘s Medal, as well as he sits in on the board of several prestigious political and cultural organisations.
