Péter Antall

Director

Péter Antall studied photography at the MÚOSZ Academy of Journalism, policy analysis with a specialisation in public policy at the Századvég Political School of the Budapest University of Economic Sciences, as well as communication at the University of Szeged. During his years as a photographer, he had numerous exhibitions in many cities across the globe (Rome, Los Angeles, Cairo, Paris, New York, Helsinki), presenting topics such as Hungarian royal cities, Transylvanian heritage, and Egyptian culture. In the meantime, he also worked as a press photographer for the newspaper Reform Újság and as a PR consultant for Duna Television.

From 1999 to 2002, he was an advisor and analyst at the Cabinet’s Office of the Ministry of Justice. In 2004, he was appointed director of research of the Antall József Foundation, a position he held until 2010. Upon leaving the foundation, he supported his mother, Mrs Klára Antall, widow of the late Hungarian Prime Minister József Antall, in her effort in creating an institution to foster the Antall tradition of education and promote the spread of knowledge. Thus, he became director of the Antall József Knowledge Centre of Political and Social Sciences Foundation (AJKC) after its establishment in 2010. In the past seven years of its operation, he has been involved in the organisation of a number of AJKC’s programmes that facilitate talent management and support the intellectual development and research activities of students.
