Loredana Teodorescu

Loredana Teodorescu joined the Centre as a Visiting Fellow in May 2016 and has been appointed Research Associate in 2018.

She is an expert of migration and asylum policies and linkages between European internal security and foreign affairs. Her areas of interest also include EU governance, borders, EU external action, neighbourhood policy, gender-related issues.

Loredana is the Head of EU and International Affairs at Istituto Luigi Sturzo in Rome, where she is in charge of research projects mainly on EU policies and migration, and is the Secretary General of Women in International Security (WIIS) Italy.

After a Bachelor in Political Science and a Master in International Relations with a focus on EU Policies and Institutions, she obtained a PhD in Political Science-European and International Studies at Roma Tre University, focusing her research on the external migration policy.

She collaborates with the chair of EU law and institutions and the Jean Monnet Centre of excellence of Roma Tre University and with numerous international think tanks and organizations. She also worked for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the Italian EU Presidency.
