George Dimakos
Project Officer
George Dimakos is a Project Officer at the Martens Centre. He holds a Master of Science in European Public Policy and Politics from the University College of London (UCL), a Bachelor’s in law from Université Paris Nord, and a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Public Administration from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has a diverse professional background, having worked for the European Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Bank of Greece, and the private sector. He has conducted research as a Research Fellow at the Institute of International Economic Affairs, the Hellenic Association of SA and Entrepreneurship, and the Institute of Democracy, Konstantinos Karamanlis. George is a member of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Alumni network.
He speaks Greek, English, and French and is currently learning Italian. His dedication to sustainability, social justice, and gender equality is evident through his volunteer work in various organisations and projects.
His main areas of interest are the European Monetary Integration, the welfare state, social policy, the Silver Economy, migration, and the Common Foreign and Security Policy.
