Daniel Fiott

Daniel Fiott is Professor at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS), Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where he also heads the Defence and Statecraft Programme. Daniel is also a Non-Resident Fellow at the Madrid-based Real Instituto Elcano, where he analyses defence industrial issues. Daniel was educated at the University of Cambridge and he holds a PhD from the VUB. He earned his PhD on European defence-industrial cooperation at the Brussels School of Governance in 2017.
