Brigitte Marechal

Brigitte Marechal obtained her Ph.D. in Sociology in 2006 (Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium). She also holds degrees in Political Sciences, Islamology, and obtained a certificate from Institut Français d’Etudes Arabes de Damas (IFEADSyria, 1998-1999). She is the Director of CISMOC (Centre Interdisciplinaire d’Etudes de l’Islam dans le Monde Contemporain) and has published extensively on European Islam.
