Alicia Montes de Oca López
Project Assistant
Alicia Montes de Oca López is a Project Assistant at the Martens Centre. She holds a master’s degree in international relations and political economy and a bachelor’s degree in business and management from the University of Kent. Her academic research focused mainly on EU-US-China trade relations. She has a diverse professional background, having worked for the EU delegation to the United States, McKinsey & Company, and the trade association ICMP.
Alicia is passionate about fostering dialogue and strengthening Europe’s role as a global leader. Her dedication to international development and social welfare are evident in her volunteer work with mentally ill children, women, and the elderly, both in Spain and India. Her main areas of interest are foreign policy, transatlantic relations, and EU-China trade relations, and migration. She speaks Spanish, English, and French, and is currently learning Chinese.
