Alessandra De Martini
Communications Intern
Alessandra De Martini holds a Master’s degree in International Security from the International University of Rome.
She joined the Martens Centre as a Communications Intern, assisting the team on a range of tasks, including the organisation of the Centre’s events and conferences.
Before her current position, she had been a Schuman trainee at the European Parliamentary Research Service (EPRS) in the External Policies Unit, where she assisted in the production of reports and briefings on international security and energy transition issues, her main areas of interest.
She had also worked as a researcher at Finabel – European Army Interoperability Centre, where she published briefings on the EU’s defence strategy and NATO’s partnerships.
On the side, she is a freelance journalist for Aspenia Online International Analysis and Commentary.
She is a native Italian speaker, fluent in English and Spanish and has a basic level of German.
