Rafael Rodríguez Ponga
Rafael Rodríguez Ponga is a member of the Board of Trustees of the H+D Foundation since 2004, and the President since 2007. He has a Doctor’s degree in Hispanic Philology from the Complutense University and belongs to the Senior Corps of Civil State Administrators. He has been General Secretary of the International Spanish Cooperation Agency (2001-2004), Director General of Cultural and Scientific Cooperation (2000-2001), Director General of Cooperation and Cultural Communication (1996-2000), Member of the Development Co-operation Council, Member of the Inter-territorial Commission for International Cooperation among others. He has been National Secretary of Social Participation and member of the National Executive Committee in the PP, popular group deputy and Spokesman for the Culture Commission of the Spanish Congress. Rafael is the author of many texts, has spoken at conferences and implemented courses in universities and other institutions around the 5 continents. He is the President of the Spanish Pacific Studies Association and of the International Platform for Migration and Cooperation. At this moment, he is a member of the PP National Executive Committee and he holds the position of General Secretary of the Cervantes Institute.
