2025 Debate Club

The 2025 Debate Club, a flagship initiative by the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies and the Kós Károly Academy Foundation concluded the engaging series with a grand final from December 12 to 14 December in Odorheiu Secuiesc, Romania. This event is the culmination of a series of local debates and preparatory sessions designed to foster academic debate skills among high school students.

The event is centered around the critical and timely theme of “Future of Europe,” encompassing discussions on universal minimum wages in the EU, limiting freedom of speech in the age of misinformation and stricter regulation for AI. The teams also debated on thought-provoking topics, including holding social media accountable for misinformation, use of AI in education, and creation of more jobs in the age of AI.
