CES Project Assistant
Santiago Robles works as project assistant with the research team, and is responsible for research on foreign policy, political party structures and EU institutions. Santiago studied political science, public administration and international relations at the Complutense University in Madrid (Spain), spending a year at Sciences Po-Paris (France) with an Erasmus scholarship. In 2011 he worked in the European Parliament, first in the Latin America unit, where he was in charge of its press review and following parliamentary committees and delegations, and then in the office of MEP and EPP Secretary General Antonio López-Istúriz, where he followed the AFET and SEDE committees. He has been working at CES since early 2012, first as an intern assisting the communications and research departments. He has written speeches and reports on foreign policy and the economic crisis and is part of the team that edits and publishes the European View, the Centre's academic and policy journal. Santiago speaks Spanish, French and English, having worked as a translator for several years during his studies.
