Michael Benhamou joined the Center as a Visiting Fellow in January 2015. Since 2010, he has been deployed in several NATO field operations as a Political Advisor and he continues to serve the French Army as a reserve Officer at the Joint Force and Training (EMIA FE). Prior to that, he was a political activist for France's center-right party, UMP, participating in numerous elections since 2004 and eventually working at the Information Service of the French Presidency in 2008 and 2009. His current focus is on European Defence, counter-terrorism and on the Middle East. He holds a Maitrise in History from Panthéon Sorbonne University and a Master's Degree in International Relations from Sciences Po Paris (IEP).
