Katharina is advisor to the Spokeswoman on Integration Policy of the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group in the German Bundestag. She is doing her PhD research at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg with a focus on European migration policies in the context of the European neighbourhood policy.
Katharina studied Political Science, Religious Studies, and Communication Studies at Freie Universität Berlin (Germany) and Università degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza (Italy). After teaching activities at Freie Universität Berlin she joined the christian democratic think tank Konrad Adenauer Stiftung for a research project on Muslim Youth and Radicalisation. After that, she worked as a political analyst and advisor for immigration and integration policies at Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in Berlin for five years.
