José Luis Fontalba
Head of Communications
José Luis Fontalba holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and Management and Master of Science in Law at the Comillas Pontifical University (ICADE) of Madrid, Spain. He also studied International Relations and Affairs at the Centro de Estudios Internacionales (CEI) of Barcelona, Spain. He started his career as a Communications Officer, Speech writer and Political Adviser of the European People’s Party (EPP). He was promoted to Senior Political Adviser of the EPP and served as General Coordinator of the Centrist Democrat International (CDI), which was at the time headed by then Spanish Prime Minister José Maria Aznar. He started working for the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies as Communications and Marketing Manager in 2008 and was promoted to Head of Communications in November 2012. He is also Member of the General Assembly of the Forum d'Etudes Européennes. He speaks Spanish, English, French, Italian and German. José Luis is also a film maker and script writer and has cooperated in various feature film projects with Belgian production company FoXp2 Productions.
