Before coming to Brussels, Hela Slim was a coordinator for governmental communication projects in Africa. She was sent on missions in Uganda, Madagascar and Mali where she had the opportunity to meet ministers, high-ranking officials and business leaders to work on the promotion of initiatives and reforms that encourage sustainable development.
Beforehand, Hela did a Master’s degree in Political Strategy and Communication at the University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies. During the course, she did a traineeship at the European Parliament, DG Comm. She also studied at CELSA – Paris Sorbonne in Paris.
Hela is highly interested in foreign policy and international relations. She speaks fluent French, English and Arabic.
