The Toivo think tank, Pro Patria Koolituskeskus and Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies organise a joint seminar "Web Security: making it smart and safe for all" on 14 March 2014 in Tallinn. Internet security has been of particular public interest in the light of Edward Snowden’s disclosures in media over the role of the NSA. Estonia hosts the headquarters of the NATO Cybersecurity Centre and presents a forerunner in all e-development – including electronic voting. This one day seminar aims aims to discuss cyber defense in the Finnish and Estonian security strategy and in the broader European context, as well as digital rights and freedom in the age of the internet.
