With its pledge for an EU budget of the future, the European Commission has promised the European citizens an ambitious and yet realistic long-term budget. The proposed seven year framework ventures to reform some of the existing budget headings, streamline financial rules and also address future challenges by reinforcing investment in the digital single market, research as well as migration and border management. European citizens, businesses and stakeholders require predictability so one of the key issues is whether the MFF will be adopted before the 2019 European elections.
The Wilfried Martens Centre and the Robert Schuman Foundation have the pleasure to invite you to a public event devoted to the future MFF. Will the proposed reforms by the Commission hold? Are cuts in future Regional and Agricultural spending necessary? Is the longterm budget of the EU equipped to address the challenges of the next decade? Join us for an in-depth discussion with our experts on the topic.
