Now in its seventh year, the Economic Ideas Forum, the Martens Centre's high-level conference on economy will be held on 8 December 2016 in Brussels.
The Economic Ideas Forum brings together European Commissioners, members of the European Parliament, economic experts, business leaders and other influential stakeholders from around the world. The Forums provide an opportunity to consider innovative ideas and propose solutions to the economic challenges facing the EU economy.
This year's topics for discussion will include the future of work in the sharing economy, technology-driven education and creativity, a long-term vision for digital investment, Brexit scenarios, industry competitiveness, as well as agricultural innovation and growth.
Every year, over 250 participants attend the conference. Previous Forums have been successfully held in Brussels (2015), Bratislava (2014), Helsinki (2013), Dublin (2012), London (2011) and Madrid (2010).
