Lessons learned from the COVID-19 crisis

It turned out that, both in Slovenia and in Europe, we were not prepared for such a state of emergency that the onset of the COVID-19 crises brought us. This entirely new situation revealed many things that were not ideal before; instead, they were hidden: from the challenge of solidarity to a partially uncoordinated digitalisation effort, a fragile food supply chain, economic shortcomings, and the questionability of resilience itself.

Therefore, the Anton Korošec Institute (INAK) and Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies (WMCES) are organizing a discussion, Lessons from the COVID-19 Crisis. To shed light on challenges faced during the past year and a half in various fields (food security, EU responses, COVID-19 vaccinations, economy, etc.), we will discuss the challenges and good practices developed during this time that should continue to be considered in the future.
